We felt so honored to be invited to photograph Erin & Kris’ big day! Not only are they the most glam + gorgeous couple ever, they are equally sweet and personable! Although these two both have Midwestern roots, they met in San Francisco, where they have both lived & worked for the past several years. (Who wouldn’t fall in love in San Francisco? It is such a beautiful place!!) In May, they jet-set back here and tied the knot at Erin’s home church in S. Minneapolis. Afterward, they and their exceptionally awesome wedding party hopped a trolley and stopped at both the Stone Arch Bridge & Britt’s Pub before heading to a gorgeous reception at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. We loved how they brought a little bit of S.F. to the party, with Ghiradelli chocolates for all. So happy for you two!

When we began the process of re-branding our business + blog back in April, we felt 90% exhilarated and 10% terrified. We wanted our web presence to make a strong first impression, to reflect the warm & personal feel of our business, and to keep you coming back for more.  It was both challenging and rewarding to sit down and try to define our style. In the initial stages of working with our amazing designer Bethany, I sent over tons of pictures of things that inspired me. She helped us tremendously to hone in on our vision, and said that if the finished product were a shirt, it should be your favorite one to wear.  (Clearly Jeff & I each have our own ideas of what constitutes a great shirt, so the challenge was to make this blog into a flavor of us as a couple!) We owe a huge thanks to our talented, hardworking designer and web developer, both of whom made the magic happen and really hit the nail on the head. The process was super smooth, personal, and enjoyable, and the product, well, I do believe it speaks for itself!! I adore that it is such a clean, simple space to share our work and life.  Please pardon us as we get more moved in here; we will slowly be importing much of the content of our old blog here plus adding a whole summer’s worth of shoots.  (We’ve been busy!)

Anne & J.P. picked THE perfect spring evening to rendezvous with us near the Mill City Museum & the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis for their engagement photos. The combination of these two darling lovebirds and the suuuper lovely light made for some of our favorite engagement pics ever. They still make my heart melt. These two were up for anything and so relaxed and easy to photograph! We sort of forgot about the landmarks and just felt so inspired by their fun personalities and gushing love!! The result was 5% down-to-business, 15% kissing, and 80% playful and adorable. We absolutely cannot wait to see them again (& capture even more magic) on their wedding day this fall!!
