When we first met up with Aaron & Shannon at Cafe Lurcat, we knew this engagement session would be a knock-out, because they both looked SO fantastic!! This location in downtown Mpls was especially meaningful to them, because it’s where they were on their date the night Aaron proposed! These two make such a strong, devoted couple and it completely shows. We are sooo excited for their April Fool’s Day wedding (and all the surprises it might have in store).

Even though weddings are our main gig, we never.ever.ever. turn down an opportunity to shoot kiddos, families, and especially newborns!!  They are SO perfect, fresh, and cuddly in the first week or two.  It is amazing to capture this newness of life and the little family who has just received the best gift ever! We promise your joy will shine over and above your sleep-deprivation.
When we do a newborn photo shoot, we take our sweet time, working with and around the baby’s sleep, wake, eat, poop cycle.  Half of the session is devoted to simple portraits of the baby, and half of the time we spend capturing joyful candids of moms, dads, & siblings interacting with baby.  You won’t catch us hanging your baby in mid-air or photo-shopping him/her into fake poses.  Props to newborn photogs who can and do–it’s just not our style.
We want your baby’s first photo shoot to be authentic and we want you to remember him exactly how he was!!
Anywhoo, I am SO excited to share a fresh batch of baby pics; of this sweet little guy named Penn!  He is so, so yummy and we are really happy for his parents and big bro, as they welcome him to the fam!

Kyle & Heidi’s August wedding at the Windbeam Farm was nothing short of picturesque.  The gorgeous, casual atmosphere of outdoor weddings like this makes us fall head-over-heels in love again with wedding photography!  Heidi wore a breezy gown sewn by her amazingly talented mother, and an up-cycled bracelet featuring adorable photos of her & Kyle in a locket. This day was dripping with so many fun, unexpected little details, not the least of which were Irish bagpipe & tin whistle players at the ceremony.  What an amazing day! Congrats you two–so happy for you!

Can’t believe it is already the time of year to think about holiday cards + photos!  We realize our mini sessions are popping up a bit late this year, but you WILL have your photos in hand in time to use them in your holiday greetings!  Sessions will take place in a natural light studio in artsy North Minneapolis.  We’ll spend 40 minutes together, plenty of time to snap a few shots both indoors and outdoors, if you wish. You’ll receive access to a web gallery for proofing/print ordering, and also a copy of your digital images.
