When I first met these two, and found out that Shannon has a part-time gig at J.Crew, I knew, just KNEW they were quickly on their way to winning a best-dressed couple award!  And when they met us at Lake Harriet on a sunny spring evening, and stepped out of the car perfectly dressed in polka dots and plaid, they proved me right. If only we could have hopped on a sailboat…
Anyway, high fives S & J! We adored working with these two and absolutely cannot wait for August to roll around to see them tie the knot, along with their equally well-dressed wedding party.

A few months ago, Jeff & I had the opportunity to jet-set to Vegas and check out WPPI for the first time.  It was an awesome experience, but during our 3-day stay, I felt so grateful to step away from the crazy strip, meet some amazing new photographer friends, and be a part of this glitzy golden shoot planned by Melissa Schollaert & the talented girls at Scheme Events. The shoot took place at the swank Barrymore, a new restaurant with a glamorous old-school Vegas vibe.  Enjoy!

This mid-century modern, Scandinavian-inspired wedding set was a joy to put together. Its simple, organic theme was drawn from Lotta Jansdotter, a Swedish designer whose work I completely adore (her fabric is even featured in the bride’s clutch)! I want to write on and on about every.single.detail of this shoot…but I believe it’s more important that you get the full scoop in the context of Hearten, the new e-mag where it was recently published!! There is no end to the talent and kindness of wedding professionals around here, and we were so honored to see all the pieces of this shoot fall magically into place.
