Nora & Reed are a truly amazing couple, whose joy and enthusiasm absolutely radiated through every element of their wedding day!  Their fondness for old, nostalgic things coupled with their bright, modern style came together to create a seamless celebration that was so uniquely them, and featured many of their favorite aspects of Minneapolis. Their ceremony was held in a beautiful old church in South Minneapolis, afterward they brought the party somewhere fresh and off-beat with a reception at Uppercut Boxing gym in NE Mpls.  Its raw, vintage warehouse vibe created a really fun, modern atmosphere, which perfectly suited their personality and style. Also noteworthy, is that Reed proposed to Nora through an amazing series of screen-printed post-card sized puzzle pieces, each depicting a different scene from Minnesota that was significant in their relationship.  He snail-mailed each postcard to Nora, and once she had collected them all, she pieced them together to find an image of them standing as bride & groom. (I know, right!?! SO adorable!) They then used these art-pieces as table numbers at their reception, which is just one example of their extraordinary creativity and thoughtfulness!  Congrats you two joyful lovebirds. We are so grateful to have been a part of your day!

I’ve been so excited to share Celia & Anu’s simple outdoor wedding at Silverwood Park in St Anthony.  Not only was this day significant for a marriage between two incredibly smart & sweet college sweethearts, but it was also a marriage of American, Buddhist, & Sri Lankan traditions. I loved how Celia customized her traditional white gown with pretty red fabric to incorporate the look of a sari.  This day was immensely special for Anu and his family, who traveled from across the world and reuinted for the first time in over 6 years! Seeing families come together and get along so well is one of the many things that I absolutely adore about weddings! Congratulations Celia & Anu. We wish you all the love and happiness in the world!

These two are such a sweet couple! We had to reschedule the original date of their e-sesh because of rain, and had to cut this one short because half-way into the shoot, a flash flood popped up out of nowhere and slashed our golden sunshine. (Womp-womp. Insert sad trombone here.) Luckily, the adorable and ever-prepared Alana just happened to have a fun, clear bubble umbrella in the car, specifically for this reason!! And in case you are dying to know where she found her pretty white lace dress (because I sure was) it’s from here.  We absolutely cannot wait to see these two again on their (hopefully fair-weathered) wedding day!
