Not sure what I loved more about Lara’s dress—the dreamy beading and flowing texture of the gown itself, or the story behind it. Would you believe that (just for kicks) she tried on this magnificent Sue Wong piece in a Cape Code boutique several years ago—long before she’d even met her new husband, Steve. The moment she was zipped in, she recalled experiencing that magical bridal moment, but left it hanging on the rack, because of course, she had no reason on the horizon to justify the expense. However, afterward she spent many a night dreaming of this day and google searching this dress. Little did she know, her parents had secretly purchased and hidden it away, in hopes of surprising her when she became engaged SOMEDAY.  Straight out of a fairytale, I tell you. That someday finally came to pass last weekend and she could not have been more perfect in this dress and more perfect for her handsome prince. So happy for your dream come true, Lara & Steve!!!

Just when I thought this fair-weathered day could not get better, Amanda & Jake‘s absolute swoon-worthy warehouse wedding popped up on the queen of all wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty! It is an amazing honor to see these two, their lovely details, and fabulous floral designs featured in such an amazing, inspiring place. Truly, you should go have a look-see. (:

It is sometimes unbelievable how much our engaged couples are juggling—on top of planning a huge beautiful wedding! Looking at these photos, their complete joy and in-loveliness, you wouldn’t know that this very same week, Lindsay & Mark were in the process of moving, Mark was starting a new job, and oh yeah, Lindsay is in the middle of law school! So I give them huge props for enjoying every minute of their photos, despite their super full lives and even despite the fact that we got caught in the rain. It was so special to sneak a few shots of them dancing outside the ballroom where they first took lessons together. So jealous of that! These two are just so amazing and it is so evident that they love living life together and are getting married {next August} for all the right reasons…I bet they’ll even have a super stunning first dance in store!

It’s so fun and rewarding and incredible for Jessica and I as a couple to continually be around brides and grooms who are madly in love, and for us to be able to capture that together. And it’s so great to know that I always have a second set of eyes at every wedding, catching moments and glances that I might not see. At Sarah and Ben’s breathtaking San Rafael wedding a few weekends ago, I was climbing a little path through the trees to get in position for a photo, and Jessica stayed back with the couple and caught this sweet, unguarded moment, which is one of my very favorite images from the day.
