Seeing a little bit of our work featured on the Wedding Chicks blog today was the perfect start to our weekend!  What an exciting honor! In January, we had an amazing opportunity to work on a Valentinesy proposal shoot with Elizabeth Anne, Ashley Fox, redshoes26 design, Lime Canary, Cocoa & Fig, and Julie Swenson–so much creative talent, it blew our minds!  We promise to share the full scoop + more photos in time for heart day, but for now hop over and see the Wedding Chicks’ full post here!

published in minnesota bride! + the sweetest feedback

The last few weeks have been a little topsy-turvy for us, but a few pieces of happy news in our mailbox have brought huge smiles to our faces!  First of all, it was a tremendous honor to be featured in Minnesota Bride for the first time, not once, but TWICE!!  This was a huge goal of ours, and I may have done a little jumping up and down to see Bridget & Andrew‘s gorgeous farm wedding + our Library Love inspiration shoot in print. If you haven’t flipped through it yet, you definitely need to pick up this issue, Spring/Summer 2012, on newsstands. Our work aside, this magazine is seriously packed with so much eye-candy, you’ll be blown away!minneapolis-wedding-photographer-020212-03minneapolis-wedding-photographer-020212-05minneapolis-wedding-photographer-020212-02

AND one more thing.  This is seriously the sweetest thank you we’ve ever seen from a client.  Apparently 3-year-old Nola had such a blast at her family’s photo shoot last week that she went home to create Jeff’s likeness in crayon. It just can’t be beat:  minneapolis-wedding-photographer-020212-04Doesn’t he look so great in a dress!? So cute! Thanks Nola!

published: a northwoods wedding

I nearly choked on my chocolate-covered-cherry this afternoon as I peeked at this post and read some super kind words from the sweet girls at A Northwoods Wedding blog. It was a huge honor to be a part of their “12 Days of Christmas” Series, and share some advice on wedding photography! These is just a little bit of the wisdom we try to impart to all of our couples. Check it out here!
Merry Christmas friends!!
xo.

and btw–that pretty picture of Jeff & I was photographed by the wonderful, amazing Emily Steffen…a girl we love and and who’s work we admire!

diy giftwrap in the news!

I’m not going to lie, I rarely enjoy the luxury of sitting down in my slippers to flip through the morning news with a cup of tea and scone.  But today I made it a priority because I couldn’t wait to skip to the Variety section to spot some of my crafty gift wrap ideas featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune!!  It was a huge honor to be contacted by Aimee at the Strib and to snazz up some presents for all to see.  (I had never felt so nervous about using Scotch tape!!) You can read the full article here.

Aannd, they even made a plug for GIVE CRAFTY 2011–a handmade gift making party I am throwing on December 17th with my super talented friend Amanda.  We are getting a group of 25 ladies together at my house to sew bunting banners, create ornaments out of vintage goodies, make cutesy luggage tags, decorate canvas bags, and more.  PLUS we are putting together the ultimate gift-wrap inspiration station, where you will wrap your creations into pretty presents just like these.  (And yes–we will be making those fabulous cupcake paper bows!) I would LOVE for you to join us too! There are still 8 spots remaining.  Register here!
