This mid-century modern, Scandinavian-inspired wedding set was a joy to put together. Its simple, organic theme was drawn from Lotta Jansdotter, a Swedish designer whose work I completely adore (her fabric is even featured in the bride’s clutch)! I want to write on and on about every.single.detail of this shoot…but I believe it’s more important that you get the full scoop in the context of Hearten, the new e-mag where it was recently published!! Oh my, do we have some sweet eye candy in store for you this Valentine’s Day! We recently had a wonderful opportunity to work with proposal & wedding planner Elizabeth Anne to piece together this beautiful, inspired proposal shoot! We knew we were crazy to spend an entire January afternoon outside, freezing our bunsies off, but the chance to collaborate with other amazing vendors and to see such lovely results made the whole thing more than worthwhile! And it was a huge honor to have this shoot featured by The Wedding Chicks.

The simple theme–Be Mine Forever–blends romantic, vintage elements with a feminine color palette that I absolutely adore! The story begins with our sweet couple taking a winter walk along the edge of a private pond, where they find a carefully placed display of ice skates, hand warmers, & cozy blankets. As Nik bends down to help Angel put on her skates, he pulls out a Tiffany box and surprises her with a ring. After enjoying sweet time ice skating, Nik leads Angel to a vintage outdoor living space, filled with a mini cake, macarons, valentines, and bouquets of flowers, where they can relax after skating, celebrate their brand new engagement, and hatch plans for the future.
