Hooray–after 7 ferociously long months of winter it is FINALLY beginning to feel like true springtime in Minnesota! I will never forget this year’s MAY snowstorms. Sheesh, the buds & birds outside our window are more refreshing than any springtime ever before! And to celebrate the sunshine and seventy degree weather, we thought we’d share an equally refreshing spring brunch created and styled by the amazing Confetti Pop girls. We are so honored to have had these images featured recently on the Everygirl blog!

andrew loves andie : camrose hill flower farm wedding

Photographing Andie & Andrew’s wedding day was a little bit like dying and going to heaven. Not only are these two the most sparkling couple on the face of the earth, they planned and executed every last detail of their wedding day in the most lovely way. If I could marry Jeff all over again, I imagine it would look very much like this! It doesn’t hurt that their event took place at one of our absolute favorite venues, Camrose Hill Flower Farm near Stillwater Minnesota. Their soft, pastel color palette, elegant floral design by Cindie (the flower farm owner), and divine details combined with a whimsical outdoor setting made this perfectly planned day gorgeous beyond words! Even more radiant than their lovely details, was Andie & Andrew’s unmistakable, tremendous joy in marrying each other! They waited to see each other until Andie walked down the aisle, where they exchanged heartfelt personal vows, surrounded by so many dear friends and family. Each time I look at these photos, it tugs at my heart all over again and I feel so much joy that these two found each other and started their life as husband and wife in such an extremely beautiful, meaningful way!! Be still my heart. I cannot even believe this little man of ours is blowing out 4 candles today. He is so full of life and we love every minute of re-discovering the world through his eyes. We are still coming down from Sunday’s sugar high…We spent the afternoon blasting off to the moon and eating Oreo crater moon cake with all of his preschool friends. More on how we celebrated here!

available. Each heirloom piece is hand crafted by the Cypress album company. Photographs are printed on premium Hahnemuhle matte paper and interleaved with elegant vellum. The book itself is wrapped in Japanese bookbinding fabric, bound with an exquisite Swiss satin ribbon, and finished with a photo cut-out cover. (We’ve chosen to feature their Juniper book in gray & pale pink.) Perhaps the sweetest detail is that each book is paired with a beautiful coordinating presentation box.

It’s about time we shared a peek at some of the beautiful heirloom photo books we offer our clients! We are huge proponents of printing images and displaying them in real, tangible places where you can view and enjoy them always. We believe there are far better ways to enjoy quality photography than on a backlit computer screen, and nothing makes us cringe more than the thought of a disc of your images, collecting dust in a desk drawer! I hope you’ll agree that a lovely book to have and to hold is so much better…Our fine art albums are organic and elegant, with simple clean page spreads that are thoughtfully designed by Jessica. After you give us the thumbs up, we then send your spreads off to a local album company (we love you, Vision Art in Iowa!), where each book is hand assembled with archival materials. Rich inks are printed onto heavy matte card stock pages, which we think is a softer and more lovely display than traditional photo print albums. We offer gorgeous dupioni silk (shown in spring green above), linen (shown on the engagement/guest book below), and leather covers (not pictured). Sizes range from 8×8 (a lovely parent album or small memento), 10×10 (our signature wedding book) or 12×12 inches.

Just when we thought life could not possibly get any sweeter…We’ve heard a new little heartbeat and are already over-the-moon in love!!! We are so blessed to announce baby bundle #2, due at the very end of August! G is SO excited to be a big bro and is already hatching all sorts of plans for “our baby”. This time around, we are saving the gender reveal party for the delivery room…We cannot wait for our sweet surprise to join our little family!!

These two. Not only are they troopers for surviving a nippy winter engagement session in Minneapolis, but they did so with amazing style! I was seriously jonesing for Amanda’s sequin jacket and plaid earmuffs! When we first met them, I instantly felt as if we were leading parallel lives. These two are high school sweethearts just like us. (: They are so cute and smart for bringing a few of their old school photos from their early dating days along to their e-session. It’s so fun to see how adorable and little they were together, and how much they have grown as a couple since then!! We had a wonderful time getting to know these two better and we cannot wait for them to come home from New York to tie the knot in July. Theirs is one of the 2013 weddings we are looking forward to most!

The lovely Mykala for A Day in Provence

We had a wonderful opportunity to recently photograph the lovely Mykala & the amazing floral art of our new studio partner Tara Bailie, owner of A Day in Provence. Tara’s floral design is always whimsical and beautifully inspired by the time she spent living in Europe. We simply adore her style and are thrilled for her new venture, opening up our shared studio space in North Minneapolis for occasional sales of handmade & vintage goods. The very first A Day in Provence Vintage Pop-Up Shop is happening this weekend (March 16-17), and you’re invited to come have a look around! Lilly & Maddie for My Little Dear

We’re really grateful to these two cuties for being a part of an inspirational shoot showcasing the fabulous work of Amanda Rydell, one of our new studio partners! Amanda has crazy creative skills and did an amazing job of styling all of this eye candy. (Are those pastel paper fans not to die for!?) She is the designer of My Little Dear kids’ goods, where she creates the cutest ever felt head bands, clips, and more! Amanda is also the driving force behind Be Crafty Workshops, which are ongoing creative get-togethers based out of our North Minneapolis studio, bringing together & inspiring crafters of all skill levels—even those who don’t consider themselves crafty. These workshops are open to the public and we would LOVE to have you and your friends join us for one soon! Private girls’ night workshops & kids’ birthday parties can also be arranged. (:
We feel super blessed to be able to partner with such a sweet & creative friend!
