We felt amazingly blessed to be able to capture the day that our dear friend Amy married an equally fantastic guy named Dustin.  If there’s anything you should know about Amy, it’s that she is crazy, crafty, and adventurous.  We think the way her & D’s wedding day unfolded suited these traits to a T.

First of all, their day was jam-packed with handmade loveliness.  Amy sewed her own dress using muslin, and embellished with both heirloom and thrift store doilies.  The result was a fantastic strapless number that beautifully bustled with a fabric flower pin, and was unlike any other bride’s gown in the history of time.

As for the crazy + adventurous part, they asked their whole freshly-dressed wedding party and fam to hike up a mountain for a few photo ops in 80-mile-an-hour winds!!  Phew!  So glad that none of the bridesmaids blew away! They also surprised their guests by dancing down the aisle as husband & wife to a plucky ukelele & Ingrid Michaelson’s song “You & I”. I think my heart almost burst with happiness.

I can never get together with Amy without feeling over-the-moon inspired.  Their gorgeous wedding day was no exception!  We are so glad for them, for their lifetime of love and crazy adventures!  Love you two!

We felt so honored to be invited to photograph Erin & Kris’ big day! Not only are they the most glam + gorgeous couple ever, they are equally sweet and personable! Although these two both have Midwestern roots, they met in San Francisco, where they have both lived & worked for the past several years. (Who wouldn’t fall in love in San Francisco? It is such a beautiful place!!) In May, they jet-set back here and tied the knot at Erin’s home church in S. Minneapolis. Afterward, they and their exceptionally awesome wedding party hopped a trolley and stopped at both the Stone Arch Bridge & Britt’s Pub before heading to a gorgeous reception at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. We loved how they brought a little bit of S.F. to the party, with Ghiradelli chocolates for all. So happy for you two!
