Photographing Andie & Andrew’s wedding day was a little bit like dying and going to heaven. Not only are these two the most sparkling couple on the face of the earth, they planned and executed every last detail of their wedding day in the most lovely way.  If I could marry Jeff all over again, I imagine it would look very much like this!  It doesn’t hurt that their event took place at one of our absolute favorite venues, Camrose Hill Flower Farm near Stillwater Minnesota.  Their soft, pastel color palette, elegant floral design by Cindie (the flower farm owner), and divine details combined with a whimsical outdoor setting made this perfectly planned day gorgeous beyond words!  Even more radiant than their lovely details, was Andie & Andrew’s unmistakable, tremendous joy in marrying each other!  They waited to see each other until Andie walked down the aisle, where they exchanged heartfelt personal vows, surrounded by so many dear friends and family. Each time I look at these photos, it tugs at my heart all over again and I feel so much joy that these two found each other and started their life as husband and wife in such an extremely beautiful, meaningful way!! Bright smiles abounded on Stacy & Kevin’s beautiful November wedding day! Stacy has the most infectious smile and laughter, and both were on full display as she prepared to exchange vows with Kevin. Her darling fascinator and mini veil were the perfect accents to her cute pixie hair cut. How I adore short-haired brides! These two share a mutual love for the outdoors and so it was a natural choice to decorate their day with sweet organic details like pine cones and pheasant feathers. They carried the camping theme through at the reception—where all of the tables were named after their favorite parks and campgrounds in Minnesota. We were so thrilled that they had such beautiful weather and felt so honored to be a part of such a perfect, joyful day with their friends and family! Congrats Kevin & Stacy!

This hot, humid July day seems like an eternity ago as I finally sit down to share the story of Laura & Jim’s wedding…on a subzero January day! These two were beyond thrilled to bring their long-distance friends & family together in downtown Minneapolis to celebrate the start of their marriage! Laura was absolutely radiating happiness & joy as we rode down the elevator and stepped outside to meet her groom!  Their chic urban ceremony & reception took place on the private top floor of the IDS Tower, offering their guests an intimate experience while surrounded by sweeping views of the city below. Expertly planned by Gretchen of Rocket Science Weddings, their theme “Night & Day” juxtaposed bright summery colors with classic deep navy blue, and helped their sunny window-lit ceremony transition into an elegant night of conversation and dancing. They further personalized their celebration with graphic bicycles throughout (even in unconventional places, like the top of their doughnut cake!), tipping their hats to Jim’s love of cycling. We adored getting to know these two kind generous people and wish them a long life of laughter and bike rides together!

I am short on words to describe just how special LeAnn & Will’s wedding day was!  From the moment we first met them, and later at their engagement session, they absolutely gushed about their dreams for this day. We knew from the get-go that these two were just as creative and passionate about their wedding plans as they were madly in love and excited to become husband & wife! And then, one Saturday in late September, they did it!! Every last detail about their wedding was completely beautiful and magical. I’ve never seen DIY done SO well!

They poured hours and hours of blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights into this day.  For starters, they carved out a piece of prairie on LeAnn’s parents’ property for the ceremony site.  They titled it their “field of dreams” and brought in beautiful salvaged church pews, lovely glass doors, and even refinished the gold/green dresser for its focal point. They also scored a roll of vintage wallpaper at an antique store and paired it with thrifted frames to create the coolest photo booth wall known to man! Oh, and did I mention that LeAnn’s mother designed & handmade not only her fantastic vintage lace gown, but also all of the bridesmaids’ sweaters + skirts!? Clearly creativity runs deep in this gene pool!!  And two nights before their wedding day, LeAnn pulled an (almost) all-nighter to bake TWO DOZEN different pies for their reception. WOW. Just WoW!

So proud of these two for accomplishing their DIY dream-come-true of a wedding day!  We felt tremendously honored to be there among their talented friends & family, and to document all of the amazing love & beauty surrounding them!  Any couple who can work SO hard together, meshing their visions to create such a splendid day surely has what it takes to make it in their marriage journey. (: Congrats you two. Your wedding was a complete hall-of-fame Home Run.
